When a tornado comes through and wipes out your tree line, it takes more than just cleanup to make things right. It takes a plan. That's exactly what this Lake Village homeowner needed after the March tornado tore through and took out the existing screen of trees along the property edge.

We came in and installed 20 white pines to rebuild that buffer from scratch. White pines are a solid choice for this kind of work - they grow fast, stay full, and give you that layered, dense screen that actually blocks the view and cuts wind. For a property sitting open to the road like this one, they're hard to beat.

Getting 20 trees in the ground the right way takes real equipment. We used a skid steer and hole auger to dig each planting hole clean and at the right depth. That's not something you can do efficiently by hand, and doing it right matters - a tree planted too shallow or in compacted soil won't establish well, and that's money wasted. Proper planting sets these trees up to take off.

What we ended up with is a freshly planted row along the road frontage and additional trees placed further into the property. It's not just about looks right now - it's about what this screen becomes in a few years. The structure is there. The spacing is intentional. This property is going to have its privacy back, and then some.

Storm damage is brutal, but it's also a chance to rebuild smarter. We're glad we could be part of getting this property back on track. This is the kind of landscape installation work we genuinely enjoy - it has a real purpose behind it.
