Land Clearing, Grading, Seeding and Erosion Control Done Right

Some properties have that one problem area - the spot that's half overgrown, half bare, and draining water in all the wrong directions. That's exactly what we were dealing with here. Weeds and brush had taken over, the ground was uneven, and there was a serious drainage issue that needed more than just a quick fix.

We started with land clearing to get the area cleaned out, then brought in the Kubota track loaders to do the rough grading work. Getting the ground shaped correctly from the start matters a lot - it's what makes everything downstream work properly. Once we had the grade where we wanted it, we finish graded the surface smooth and ran 60 feet of sump pump pipe out into the woods to give the water somewhere to actually go.

After the grading was done, we seeded the area and laid erosion blanket across the whole thing. That blanket is doing real work - it holds the seed in place, keeps the topsoil from washing away before grass can establish, and helps retain moisture. Without it, a heavy rain could undo a lot of the grading work in a hurry.

The difference between the before and after on a job like this is night and day. What was a weedy, waterlogged mess is now a clean, graded, and protected area with a proper drainage outlet. It's the kind of job where you need to solve multiple problems at once - clearing, grading, drainage, and erosion control - and do them in the right order for the end result to actually hold up.
