Holy Name Church is a beautiful property - and a property like that deserves beds that match. That's exactly what we set out to do here. The existing beds around the building's foundation needed a cleaner look and a longer-term solution that wouldn't demand constant upkeep.

We went with fresh landscape rock throughout the foundation beds and installed crisp paver edging to define where the beds end and the lawn begins. That separation is everything. Without a clean edge, even freshly done beds can look sloppy within a few weeks. The paver edging gives a hard, defined line that holds its shape season after season.

Rock is one of our go-to recommendations for properties that need low-maintenance solutions. Unlike mulch, it doesn't break down, it doesn't wash away easily, and it doesn't need to be refreshed every year. For a commercial or institutional property like a church - where groundskeeping resources are often limited - that kind of durability matters a lot.

The detail work is what pulls everything together here. The edging follows the natural curves of the building's footprint, wrapping corners cleanly and keeping a consistent width all the way around. It's the kind of thing that takes real care to execute well, but the result is a finished look that just feels polished.

Whether it's a commercial property or a residential yard, beds that are edged and filled properly make the whole space look more intentional. If your beds are overdue for that kind of attention, this is exactly the type of landscape maintenance work we handle on a regular basis throughout the Cedar Lake area.
